Are you excited to help deliver a vision of an environmentally sustainable and inclusive city?
The City Office is working with Bristol Green Capital Partnership to set up a new Environmental Sustainability (ES) Board for Bristol – and we are seeking expressions of interest to join.
This strategic city board will be aligned to the ambitions set out in the One City Plan and work in collaboration with others strategic boards covering the economy, health & wellbeing, homes, transport and learning.
In total there will be six ‘One City’ boards which will drive action and deliver on the goals set out in the One City Plan.
The Environmental Sustainability Board and its members will lead, support and advise on action to deliver the environmental sustainability aspects of the One City Plan and the recently published ‘Our Future’ vision, including accelerating progress towards carbon neutrality and zero waste in Bristol.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from people with varied backgrounds, both from key organisations and/or those with expertise in relevant sectors to bring their experience, resources, knowledge and networks to help lead Bristol’s journey towards becoming a more a sustainable city with a high quality of life for all.
Expressions of interest (EOI) are being invited to the Bristol City Office from 02 May 2019 until 9am on 20 May 2019.
Please find the below key documents which include further details about how to submit an EOI.

How to apply
To express your interest in joining this new Board, please send a CV (maximum 2 pages) and also a maximum of 250 words on why you feel you would suit the role by 0900 on 20 May 2019 to email@example.com

Please also state in your expression of interest if you would be interested in co-chairing the ES Board. It would greatly help us if you could include your availability in w/c 20 May 2019 for an informal call, and your availability for the ES Board’s first meeting on Wednesday 10 July, from 11am to 2pm, at a central Bristol location to be confirmed. If you are unable to attend this first meeting, this will not preclude you from joining the ES Board.
To arrange an informal call about the role, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Expressions of interest and CVs will be kept confidential and managed in line with the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulations. Such information will be shared with Bristol Green Capital Partnership CIC and panel members to enable the recruitment process.
